There’s fantastic news for indie rock fans in Los Angeles! Sensational band Alt-J just added another date for their stop in Los Angeles, California! On Wednesday, 22nd March 2023, Alt-J will perform for the third night at the Wiltern! The show is part of the band’s massive tour to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their most successful album, An Awesome Wave! Alt-J is an English indie rock band that emerged from Leeds in 2007. The band released two notable EPs before coming out with their debut album, Awesome Wave, in 2012. The critically-acclaimed effort debuted at number 13 on the U.K. mainstream chart and number 1 on U.K.’s indie chart. Moreover, the record entered three Billboard charts in the U.S. Besides the U.K. and U.S., An Awesome Wave also broke through the mainstream charts in ten other countries. The band’s music, which includes an eclectic mix of folk, electronica, and rock, has been revered by fans and critics for its fresh approach to indie rock. The same year as its release, An Awesome Wave won the prestigious Mercury Prize.

After the success of An Awesome Wave, Alt-J released their sophomore effort, This is All Yours, in 2014. The album, which spawned the singles “Hunger of the Pine” and “Left Hand Free,” was nominated for Best Alternative Album at the 2015 Grammy Awards. Upon its release, the album peaked at number 4 on the Billboard 200, topped Billboard’s Rock and Alternative Albums charts and U.K.’s mainstream chart. Like its predecessor, the album was an international success and entered the charts in 14 countries.

This 2023, Alt-J celebrates the tenth anniversary of An Awesome Wave and is also set to promote songs from their latest album, The Dream. The 2022 album notably entered three Billboard charts in the U.S. and 13 other countries, including the U.K., Canada, and Australia.
