Brit Floyd is the creation of former member of the Australian Pink Floyd Show, Damian Darlington. After playing with the Australian Pink Floyd Show for 19 years, he left to form Brit Floyd, with the intention of surpassing his previous act. "There is much more attention to details in every aspect of the show,” he explained, regarding the ethos of the new band; “From the music to the visuals to the lighting: everything is that much more perfected and there's a passion coming off that stage… It's a coherent, emotional journey through Pink Floyd's catalog.”
The band has ben on tours around the globe since its formation, and has occasionally featured appearances from Pink Floyd’s original line-up and touring line-up, including Guy Pratt, bassist and vocalist, and Scott Page, saxophonist and rhythm guitarist, joining them at Echo Arena Liverpool in 2013 and Los Angeles's Orpheum Theatre in 2015 respectively.
