Father John Misty a.k.a Joshua Tillman, begun his music career in Indie folk band, Fleet Foxes, before making it a solo star from 2011. When discussing his ideas behind the creation of the name, Tillman recites Philip Roth: "'It’s all of me and none of me, if you can’t see that, you won’t get it.' With his music, he adapts a alter ego that discusses love through his dark lyrics that are full of hidden meanings, making it such an interesting genre to explore. He talks honestly in the content of his songs, “When you want it the most there’s no easy way out… Love comes to those who believe it.”
