NMIXX is a six-piece girl group that debuted under JYP’s sub-label SQU4D in 2022. The rookie girl group was initially composed of seven dynamic highly-trained members, Lily Haewon, Bae Jiwoo, Sullyoon, Kyujin, and Jinni, who left in early 2023. They debuted their single, “O.O,” and demonstrated a very original concept, merging two girl group images. The song had solid rap lines while demonstrating the singers’ vocal prowess. NMIXX is a highly versatile group, being able to switch from dark concept to girl-next-door image.
Last year, NMIXX released their debut single album, Ad Mare, which contains the debut single plus three other tracks. The album topped the Korean charts and earned a platinum certification in their home country. A few months later, the group dropped their sophomore single, “Dice,” and their second single album, Entwurf. The album earned double platinum status in Korea and also topped the charts.
This 2023, the girls will be promoting their debut EP, Expergo. The record was preceded by singles “Young, Dumb, Stupid” and “Love Me Like This.” According to reports, the mini-album sold over 400,000 copies on its release day, making it NMIXX’s best-selling effort. It was also recorded as the third best-selling album by a K-pop girl group for 2023.
