Grammy-nominated pop-metal icon Poppy and pop-rock powerhouse Pvris are joining forces to embark on a monumental co-headling tour! The Godless/Goddess Tour is set to cover 18 shows across the U.S. and Canada, including a coveted date in Los Angeles! On Thursday, 24th August 2023, the performers will light up the Wiltern with their biggest hits! Poppy is currently promoting her latest effort Flux, which was released in 2021. She also recently released her latest EP, Stagger. Meanwhile, Pvris are about to drop their latest effort, Evergreen, this summer! The highly-anticipated album has already been preceded by singles “Animal,” “Goddess,” and “Good Enemy.” Rapper Tommy Genesis will also conquer the stage as the opening act on this monumental event! Singer-songwriter Poppy first stepped into the limelight as a Youtuber. She channels an android-like persona and has maintained a mystery of her origins. She has been known to transition between genres from bubble gum pop to heavy metal and electronica. In 2017, she dropped her debut album, Poppy.Computer. The album showcased art-pop tracks, such as “I’m Poppy,” “Interweb,” and “Moshi Moshi.” The album entered Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and Independent Albums, peaking at numbers 11 and 33. A remix version of the labrum was later released in 2018, containing remixed tracks of “Interweb” and “Moshi Moshi.”

In 2018, Poppy began infusing heavy metal music into her pop tunes. Her second album, Am I a Girl belted out the single “Play Destroy,” which received wide critical acclaim due to its pop and heavy metal elements. Since not a lot of artists have done this kind of genre infusion, the single received the attention of critics and fans alike. In an interview, Poppy categorized the song as “poppymetal,”

Two years after entering the heavy metal world, Poppy signed with the rock and metal record label Sumerian Records. Her third album, I Disagree, peaked at number 130 on the Billboard 200, marking her first entry into the chart. Meanwhile, the album also peaked at number 5 on the Top Hard Rock Albums and number 15 on the Top Rock Albums charts. When fans and critics were a bit wary of her transition to metal in her previous album, this time, they were ecstatic. I Disagree was included in several “best of” lists, including topping the Albums of the Year by Upset Magazine. I Disagree and also received a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance.

Pop rock band Pvris released their debut album, White Noise, in 2014. The record entered the Billboard 200 and peaked at number 6 on the Top Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums. In 2017, Pvirs debuted their single, “Heaven,” on BBC’s Radio 1 Rock Show. The song is featured in their sophomore effort, All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell, which became their highest charting effort to date. The album peaked at number 41 on the Billboard 200 and charted at number 4 o the Top Alternative and Top Rock Albums.

This 2023, fans can look forward to new music as Pvris debuts their new album, Evergreen, and some of its iconic tracks, such as “Animal,” “Anywhere But Here,” “Goddess,” and “Good Enemy.”
